2024, What a Year We Will Have!
Black History 2024 offers me many opportunities to share great stories, great art, and many interesting events in Sonoma County.
The theme for Black History in 2024 is “African Americans and the Arts”. As an artist and member of Petaluma Blacks for Community Development, I am honored to share some time with two artists in February. Sonoma County residents Rose Hill and Dr. Orin Carpenter and I will have a chance to speak about their work, art and ideas. Dr. Orin Carpenter at Petaluma Arts Center on February 4, and Rose Hill at Museum of Sonoma County in Santa Rosa on February 18. I want to thank our sponsors, Eames Institute, Museum of Sonoma County and Petaluma Arts Center for making this happen. There are many more events happening. The celebrations will include music, art exhibitions and many other events.
