Whirling winds, we are into the Spring and at a rapid pace. I’ve just done my first fair in a year, Clucktown Collective last week at The Happy Dahlia Farm. We were loving the day, the respectful distanced crowd and then our Petaluma gale force winds arrived. Whew~ what an ending to a perfect day.
I am asked by many, where’s the new earring designs for Spring? Ok, so I had a big project on that is now complete, a bespoke collection of 24 kinetic sculptures for the Renegade Craft virtual catalog. My group is called, MY DREAMS OF SPAIN, a reflection on the trip we were to make last year before Covid changed the world. An eight city tour in kinetic design, new colors and shapes. This project was a big stretch for me, 24 sculptures in 23 days, non-stop, and really exciting. My tiny house is a kinetic warehouse now. I’m participating in an art auction on Saturday, May 22nd with several other artists to raise funds and awareness of a RELAY FOR LIFE event. I’ve donated two ginkgo kinetic sculptures and five pairs of earrings to the event. We will share our stories on a live zoom exhibit on Saturday evening. The artists will share their art stories, authors will share their stories and we will help the human race move to a better place.
