I love the music at the SF Jazz Center, been an usher there for years. Horns are a favorite instrument and this is in honor of the Women of Jazz who play horn at SFJ: Ingrid Jensen, Andrea Motis, Tara Kannagara are the young lionesses now. The queens of horn of the early jazz days are to be celebrated: Corla Bryant, Vi Redd, Alice Pinkney, Tiny Davis, Cynthia Robinson, Dolly Jones…the list is so very long. Women in Jazz, yes!
