This dream project has lift off! Black Artists of Northern California is my guest curator project for Petaluma Arts Center, my hometown art center. I have the privilege to work with 26 other artists, musicians, and writers for this exhibition.
My inspiration for the project came from a few events that sparked the possibility of this event happening. 2024 is Black History “African Americans Year of the Arts”. To celebrate the achievements, I worked with Faith Ross and Petaluma Blacks for Community Development in February on two Artists in Conversation. Here are the links:
