A WomaN’s History

The last year got me in touch with the women of my life, not all of them, but the important ones. We chat on the phone like old high school girlfriends, college friends, work friends. All are my sisters of other mothers with history and fantastic stories, close calls, failed moments, hilarity, marches and protests.
We share so many amazing times: great concerts, a new job, the time we almost got caught with a guy in the dorm room, the snake in the road, the men, the children and pets who are also our children, the help along the way.

These are the people who made me who I became, due to their influence and trust. I am rich with these grand relationships. COVID-19 had its effects and this was one of the highlights, saying hello to a love, a friend and a person who reminds you that you matter, you are of their history and it is a glorious celebration. A reminder, for we are here briefly and these beautiful relationship is one of the spotlights for me. I continue to make new ones and keep what I can of the old.
This, like all months, is our history month. We better start making it better for us all, and if no woman is left behind, we are all stronger.
