Autumn, Vote, A Change is Gonna Come!

Love the colors of the Fall, golden, orange glow, the smell of cool dry leaves. A reminder that no matter what we do as humans, nature abides.

VOTE. JUST DO THE RIGHT THING!

Just a few weeks until November 3rd. Vote, make the effort, we are all depending on each other to rise from this long and unrelenting awful time.

Re-reading Cat’s Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut this week and what a prophetic treat that was. I love his neverending play on words, “granfalloons” - A group of two or more people who imagine or are manipulated to believe they share a connection based on some circumstance of little or no real significance. What?

Galvanized steel on steel wire, outdoor acrylic paint.

32” x 18” INDOOR OR OUTDOOR OPTION $175

Bespoke. be·spoke /bəˈspōk/ adjective BRITISH 1. made for a particular customer or user. "a bespoke pair of trousers, or in my case earrings"

This was a new word for me and it seems to litter the crafts world online these days. It’s meaning is handmade just for you. I guess I’ve be making “bespoke” jewelry and other art all these years. I make jewelry first and always for my delight, something I enjoy. Second, it seems all handmade art is bespoke as it speaks to the person who loves it enough to purchase and own it. The language of art, sometimes baffling and sometimes snooty, but I like this word.

Thank you for the love and all the great gifts, notes, flowers and love while I got my legs under me last month. I was too whiny and sore to communicate for six weeks, but I’m back baby! To all my gals and guys that are so wonderful to me, love you and I really appreciate the love.

The holidays are coming, I’m back to the markets soon and will be looking forward to the season shining bright. Forward thinking. Positive thinking. Grateful for each day, grateful for the love. Stay well and safe and be strong. Denise
