September Sale, The Art Donation Series, Mending and Looking Forward
We are in the last days of Summer and enjoying the clear air these days. Small daily blessings is all we need. I am enjoying the cooler weather, hopefully the wildfire season will end soon. The knee surgery (meniscus repair and bone stuff) was a success but a slow, slow, slow heal. Grateful for the surgery, impatient to get back to full motion. My gratitude to the many kind words and deeds: Connie’s bouquet of flowers, Patty’s book by Terry McMillian, Joan’s book by Aimee Bender and the wonderful emails and calls-you gals cheered me through! Thank you.
Finally slipping back to work and finished a large kinetic sculpture, ANNA’S BIRDS, commissioned by Anna K, my sweet college best buddy. Shipping off today.
My ongoing ART DONATION SERIES was featured this month in the MARIN THEATRE COMPANY newsletter. I am donating 50% of the sale of a number of sculptures to help keep these lovely places going. With MTC these were my offering: ACT THREE and THE BIRD WATCHER.
This ART DONATION SERIES also includes other sculptures for purchase to support my favorite community places and arts centers.
Museum of African Diaspora - MIGRATION
Petaluma Arts Center - MID CENTURY MODERN
